August 7th Roundtable:Qualitative Evaluation

Have you conducted interviews and or focus groups and are unsure of what your next steps should be?  Have you ever worried about the validity of qualitative findings? Carrie Fisher will present an introduction to qualitative analysis that includes:

  • the considerations taken in making analytical decisions;
  • the role of the analyst in presenting the 'truth';
  • data management processes and tools and;
  • the interpretation and reporting of data.  
Carrie is a project manager at the Institute for Community Health. She is an anthropologist with interests in applied and evaluation research, innovative research methods, health and public health, and research with difficult-to-reach populations and has extensive experience conducting qualitative research in a range of different settings and using a variety of techniques based on the needs and scope of the project.
